Chloe Ulm is a Printmaker and a recent graduate of the University of Oklahoma’s BFA program. She explores themes of sexuality, trauma, self-discovery, and resilience through repetitive mark making and the portrayal of her experiences coming into womanhood. Her distinctive personal style is intimidating and calculated. The intimacy and drama that she expresses through her meaningful prints reflects on her own mind and how she feels. She grew up in southern Oklahoma surrounded by religion and divorced parents. She was a fairly shy child and came of age in a very lonely household. Chloe was bullied in middle and high school and did not speak through these years. She found solace though art because she could draw what she could not say. She has shown her work in multiple group exhibitions including “Mind and Body,” “Myriad: University of Oklahoma BFA Exhibition,” the 108th and the 109th School of Visual Arts Student Art Exhibitions, among others. She has critiqued and worked with multiple established printmaking artists such as Kathryn Polk, Dennis McNett, and Tom Huck. She has a growing following on Instagram and Tiktok, and she is currently living and working out of Kansas City, MO.
